Domestic work and Part P regulations

Part P is part of the UK building regulations to protect householders. The law now requires all domestic electrical installations to be carried out by a Part P registered electrical contractor.

Part P enables competent electricians to self-certify their work as compliant against the Building Regulations. If you are renting out property or taking out buildings insurance, we will provide you with all the paperwork required confirming that all your work meets BS 7671.

The law requires all electrical work in the home in England to comply with Part P of the Building Regulations and all home owners and landlords must be able to prove that all electrical works on their property meet these requirements. In addition, certain works/zones are notifiable to have a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate.
